Part Eleven – The Stock Crash
Part Eleven – The Stock Crash
Panel 1:
- Visual: The WhiskerCart “War Room.” Giant monitors on the wall are flashing bright red. A massive line graph is plummeting straight down. Dave and Sarah are staring at the screens in absolute panic, holding their heads.
- Dave: “It’s a bloodbath! The investors pulled out after the water incident. WCT stock is down 99%!”
Panel 2:
- Visual: Close up on Cocoa. She is sitting on the main control desk, her pupils fully dilated, completely ignoring the panic. She is intensely tracking the red plummeting line on the main monitor as if it were a laser pointer.
- Sarah: “Cocoa, please! We need you to issue a press release!”
- Cocoa: (Thinking) “Must… catch… the red line…”
Panel 3:
- Visual: Pure action. Cocoa leaps into the air and physically pounces on the computer mouse, batting it wildly across the desk to “catch” the red line.
- Dave: “NO! DON’T TOUCH THE TRADING TERMINAL!”
Panel 4:
- Visual: The aftermath. The giant screen now shows the stock chart hitting a tiny, barely visible floor at the very bottom. The news ticker at the bottom reads: “WCT CLOSES AT $0.05 – A BARGAIN?” Cocoa is curled up asleep on the keyboard, purring loudly. Dave and Sarah are staring at the screen, completely defeated.
- Cocoa: (Sleeping thought bubble) “Best nap ever.”
- Caption: At WhiskerCart, we always close at a bargain.
