Part Twelve – The Stock Buyback
Part Twelve – The Stock Buyback
Panel 1:
- Visual: The gloomy WhiskerCart boardroom. The Eagle analyst and the human junior analyst are sitting at the table, looking defeated. The monitor in the background still shows the stock flatlining at $0.05. Suddenly, the double doors swing open.
- Eagle Analyst: (Sighing) “Well, gentlemen, it’s been a run. Time to pack up the—”
Panel 2:
- Visual: Cocoa struts into the room wearing her sharp business suit. She is carrying a heavy, vintage leather briefcase in her mouth. She drops it onto the center of the conference table with a loud THUD.
- Cocoa: “Gentlemen. I believe we have some unfinished business.”
- Dave: (Peeking in from the doorway, whispering to Sarah) “Is that the emergency fund?”
Panel 3:
- Visual: Cocoa pops the brass latches on the briefcase and flips it open. It is absolutely stuffed to the brim with stacks of cash. The Eagle analyst’s beak drops open in shock, and his eyes go wide.
- Eagle Analyst: “Is that… is that actual physical cash? Where did you even get that?!”
- Cocoa: “I’ve been saving my tuna budget for a decade.”
Panel 4:
- Visual: Cocoa is now sitting comfortably at the head of the boardroom table, looking incredibly smug. She slides a single, crumpled one-dollar bill across the table toward the Eagle analyst. Dave and Sarah are in the background, cheering and throwing confetti.
- Cocoa: “I’m buying WhiskerCart back. Keep the change. Now, someone get me a sunbeam.”
- Caption: At WhiskerCart, we always bounce back.
