Part Thirteen – Repairing The Store
Part Thirteen: Repairing the Store
Panel 1:
- Visual: The boardroom has been turned into a messy “war room.” Whiteboards are covered in complex code and flowcharts. Dave and Sarah look like zombies (messy hair, dark circles under their eyes, surrounded by empty coffee cups). Cocoa is sitting pristine at the head of the table, grooming her paw.
- Dave: “Okay, we own the company again, but we spent our last dollar on the buyback. The website is still a smoking crater. We have to rebuild the database ourselves.”
Panel 2:
- Visual: Dave points to a monitor showing a massive “ERROR 404” and a tangled mess of server cables. Buster the Golden Retriever is trying to “help” by holding a technical manual upside down and chewing on a USB cable.
- Dave: “It’s going to take weeks of 24/7 coding. Cocoa, please, for the love of god, stay out of the server room.”
Panel 3:
- Visual: Cocoa completely ignores him. She leaps onto the main developer’s laptop. Her paws are mashing the keyboard furiously, her tail swishing with intense focus. Dave is screaming in the background, reaching out.
- Cocoa (Thought bubble): “If I hit the keys fast enough, the red bugs will go away.”
- Dave: “NO! GET OFF THE MAINFRAME!”
Panel 4:
- Visual: The monitor suddenly flashes bright green: “SYSTEM RESTORED. BUGS FIXED. UI OPTIMIZED.” Cocoa is sitting proudly next to the laptop, casually knocking a coffee mug off the edge of the desk. Dave and Sarah are staring at the screen in absolute awe.
- Sarah: “She… she just refactored the entire legacy codebase in four seconds.”
- Cocoa: “I am a genius. Now, open a can of tuna.”
The comic strip perfectly captures the chaotic aftermath of the buyback. Panel 1 sets the scene with the exhausted human team and pristine Cocoa. Panel 2 shows Buster’s “helpful” chewing on the USB cable. Panel 3 delivers the classic cat-on-keyboard panic, and Panel 4 nails the hilarious twist where Cocoa accidentally becomes a coding genius while knocking over a mug.
Cocoa has officially saved the company, bought it back, and fixed the website. She is truly the ultimate CEO.
