In Part Seven – Team-Building Exercise moves outdoors to the local park.
Panel 1: The Setup
- Visual: The WhiskerCart team is at a sunny local park for a mandatory retreat. Chad, an overly enthusiastic human team-building facilitator in a bright polo shirt, is gesturing wildly. In the background, Buster the Golden Retriever is completely frozen, his eyes locked onto a squirrel sitting on a nearby tree branch.
- Chad (Facilitator): “Alright, WhiskerCart family! Vulnerability is the key to synergy! Dave, I want you to fall backward, and Sarah will catch you!”
Panel 2: The Human Hesitation
- Visual: Dave stands rigid with his arms crossed, looking deeply skeptical. Sarah is standing a few feet away, casually checking her phone, looking entirely unprepared to catch a full-grown adult man.
- Dave: “I don’t trust this. Last time we did this, I ended up in a bush.”
- Sarah: “I’m on a customer support ticket. Fall at your own risk, Dave.”
Panel 3: The CEO’s “Participation”
- Visual: Cut to CEO Cocoa (Coco). She is sitting regally on a picnic blanket, completely ignoring the trust exercise. Next to her is a large, empty cardboard box that the team-building supplies were delivered in. She is halfway inside the box, with only her head and front paws visible, looking incredibly content and purring.
- Cocoa (Thought Bubble): “Now this… this is a strategic asset.”
Panel 4: Total Chaos
- Visual: Wide shot of the park. Dave is mid-fall, looking terrified. Sarah is still looking at her phone. Buster is sprinting full-speed across the grass after the squirrel, accidentally dragging the facilitator’s clipboard and lanyard behind him. Cocoa is just peeking out from her cardboard box, watching the chaos with a smug, satisfied expression.
- Cocoa: “Best ROI on a team-building exercise we’ve had all quarter.”
- Chad (yelling from the ground): “MY CLIPBOARD! THE SYNERGY!”
