Part 29: Sarah Gets Promoted
Panel 1:
- Visual: The team is gathered in Cocoa’s glass-walled office. Dave, Chloe, and Buster are standing off to the side, watching intently. Sarah is standing in the center, looking nervous but hopeful. Cocoa is sitting on her desk, looking unusually serious and professional.
- Cocoa: “Sarah. Your dedication to this company has been… adequate. It is time for a change in your status.”
Panel 2:
- Visual: Cocoa uses her paw to slide a fancy, official-looking manila folder across the desk toward Sarah. Sarah reaches for it, her eyes widening in happy shock as she opens it.
- Sarah: “Oh my gosh… is this…?”
Panel 3:
- Visual: Close-up on the folder’s contents. It’s a beautiful “Senior VP of Operations” certificate, but it is heavily smudged with muddy paw prints and has a distinct, slobbery bite mark on the top right corner. In the background, Buster is sitting with his chest puffed out, looking incredibly proud of his “notarization.”
- Sarah: “It’s… beautifully authenticated.”
Panel 4:
- Visual: The aftermath. Sarah is now sitting at a slightly larger, upgraded desk, wearing a sharp new blazer and typing confidently. Cocoa is curled up fast asleep directly on top of Sarah’s new “Urgent Inbox” tray. Dave and Chloe are looking on from the doorway with a mix of jealousy and deep respect.
- Dave: (Whispering to Chloe) “We need to get the dog to sign our next performance reviews.”
- Caption: At WhiskerCart, promotions come with a few… unique qualifications.
